Hello

After transitioning from active military duty, I became a military instructor at a public secondary school in Taichung City, Taiwan. In this role, I took on responsibilities including teaching military technology, disciplining students, and ensuring campus security.

Teaching has been the most fulfilling part of my school life. I have dedicated myself to creating engaging classroom experiences that cater to my students' learning needs. I've designed various activities to inspire my students and even developed a program that received recognition as one of the top 100 courses in 2019, held by “Future Education”, an educational magazine. Despite educating hundreds of students in nearly ten years at a secondary school, I still lack a formal teaching license. A friend from the United States introduced me to this program. Moreland University's Online Teacher Licensure Program appeals to me as it offers a self-paced, remote learning experience. This format suits me well as I have a family and allows me to pursue my career goals without moving abroad. Moreover, I am actively working on teaching drone knowledge in English. Coincidently, in recent years, our country has been revamping the national curriculum to emphasize collaborative, student-centered learning, fostering student autonomy, and promoting English as a medium of instruction. All of the skills I learned  in the past years will be implemented in my clinical practice of Moreland University and will be evaluated by professional educators from the U.S. I believe Moreland University's teacher preparation program aligns perfectly with my aspirations of becoming a professional teacher, and fulfill all the requirements for the TeachNow program and the Praxis tests within the next year to obtain formal teacher certification.
