M1U1A2 Creating an E-Portfolio
1.How can the Edpuzzle you completed in the previous assignment guide you as you progress through this program?
I received answers to the two most important questions I had about this program, specifically, the 'Grading Policy' and 'Attendance at Virtual Classes.'
Firstly, it is required to contact the instructor prior to a missed class. In such cases, I will need to watch the recorded virtual class (VC) and write a summary analysis to demonstrate my understanding of the content discussed during the session.
Secondly, a score of 4.0 will be given. If I receive a score less than 4.0, I am allowed to resubmit the activity only once. Additionally, each module will close out two weeks after its completion, and no late work will be accepted beyond this point. In the event of extenuating circumstances, I should reach out to my instructor.
2. How can the information you discovered in the Course Catalog and Candidate Handbook guide you as you progress through this program?
Discoveries through the Course Catalog:
In the Video Library tab, I explore alumni-created videos for insights into assignment formats. The library tag streamlines my search for assignment resources, making it easier for me to complete assignments.
Insights from the Candidate Handbook:
My primary concern, clinical practice, finds resolution in the handbook's guidance: 'In ED 503, candidates schedule a Clinical Intake Interview via the learning platform.' Furthermore, the learning modules are basically divided into two parts: The first part includes Module 1 to 6, covering the basics of teaching philosophy. Each module consists of essential knowledge for clinical practice. The second part focuses on clinical practice, implementing what I learned from the previous modules. This information helps me prepare for clinical practice in advance.
3. How can the InTASC Standards and Clinical Rubric guide you as you progress through this program?
I found the 'InTASC Standards Alignment Guide' to be useful and clarifying for my questions about InTASC Standards. The TeachNow program designs assignments that align with the InTASC Standards, and I now realize the importance of this document. Before discovering this guide, I had no idea how to implement InTASC standards in my clinical practice. Throughout this 'InTASC Standards Alignment Guide,' I will be able to identify which assignments correspond to TASC Standards and pay more attention to the rationale of each assignment. With this alignment guide, I will be able to improve my clinical practice and achieve an outstanding score.
The Clinical Rubric serves as a guiding framework throughout the clinical practice by providing clear benchmarks and criteria. The bold words indicate how candidates should pursue and perform at the outstanding level. The outstanding column helps me assess and understand the expectations for my progress. Regularly referring to the rubric in the process of doing assignments and discussions with peers aids in self-evaluation, targeted improvement, and effective navigation of the program’s requirements.
